This is just a quick drop in to mention that the promised DIY versions of La Reine des Fleurs have been published at Denver Art Museum’s tumblr page. Here is the link to it so you can check out the recipes and have some fun making perfume.
I also wanted to mention that the draw is still open (until February 25) so if you want to comment here or on the ‘part 2’ post to enter, feel free. La Reine des Fleurs is also up on the DSH Perfumes site (woo hoo!) as our first new launch of 2014. I think that it’s going to be a very creative and exciting year. I really hope so.
Have a wonderful weekend and happy smelling~~~ oxox
ps: One of my students reminded me that the official first day of Spring is only 4 weeks away. 🙂 I’m REALLY excited for that and even if it’s still snowing in Colorado, my heart will be in the first blooms of the season.
Excited to try this new creation! I can’t imagine anything more exciting than a fragrance with three of my favorite scents in one! Peaches, Roses And vanilla. Sounds like a mostly botanical! Wow!
🙂 Hi, Kimberly! Thank you for stopping by the blog and yes, I think that you will love “La Reine”. Good luck in the draw~ All my best, Dawn
I don’t think I’ve entered yet and I would never want to miss one of your drawings 🙂
Hi, Ringthing~ Love the handle!! 🙂 Good luck in the draw and I am so happy that you stopped by to enter! I am flattered that you wouldn’t want to miss it. ~Dawn
Anything and everything you create is MAGNIFICENT! This new lovely will be no exception! ; ) OK< now all I can think about is summer and the waft of roses on a lush summer breeze! Buried in several feet of snow here in MN. Should have our roses up by….July? LOL!!!
Oh, WOW, Shirley! I that think I am blushing here as I write a heartfelt thank you for such high praise! 🙂 I, too, am just about counting the days until Spring and Summer booms; especially the roses and lilacs! It’s not so snowy as what you have been dealing with in Michigan, but I’m quite ready for Spring. I wish you good luck in the draw and thank you for stopping by~ Best, Dawn
All of your fragrances are so unique! I am sure this one will be wonderful as well! What a great combo of ingredients! I love anything with peach and vanilla. The rose in it should create quite a beautiful scent! 🙂
Thank you, so much, Maddie! And thank you for stopping by the blog! 🙂 I wish you good luck in the draw and hope that you love “La Reine”, should you win! All my best, Dawn
This is so great I always wanted to try make my own perfume!
Thank you, Eddward! See what you think of the DIY versions… They are more feminine in style but it would give you a little experience and you could certainly take off from where I left off and re-work some proportions to make something more masculine. Have fun!
